CITIZENSHIP AND RESIDENCY BY INVESTMENT BLOG

Happy Thanksgiving! Malta Citizenship by Merit Update.

Malta holiday period is approaching; consider securing your biometrics slot.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Zenturo! As the holiday season approaches—and with many government offices operating on reduced schedules—we want to share a quick update and practical next steps to keep you ahead.
Malta Citizenship by Merit Program

A quick CBM update:

Announcement timing: We still anticipate the official Citizenship by Merit program announcement before year-end.

Stage 0 Consultations: These remain ongoing. During this stage, we complete AML/KYC checks, review your background and intended contribution (such as a charitable initiative, new business, or cultural/sustainability project), and prepare a concise proposal outline for review with our legal team.

Stage 1 Residency Applications: Also underway. We prepare and submit your residency application, organize supporting documents, and schedule your biometrics appointment. Stage 1 secures your Malta residency—the on-ramp to citizenship—enables visa-free Schengen travel, and positions you to proceed quickly towards citizenship. Tip: Book biometrics early to lock in preferred dates during the holiday period.

Why should you act now?

Holiday slowdown: December/January scheduling can tighten as public offices operate on reduced staffing.

Biometrics availability: It’s wise to request biometrics slots early while multiple options are still available.

If you would like to start Stage 0 or secure a biometrics appointment, simply use our contact form or send an email to service@zenturo.com and we’ll coordinate next steps. We appreciate the opportunity to be of service and look forward to working with you All applications under-go strict due diligence and are regulated by the Maltese government to ensure transparency and integrity.

Take the Quiz: Malta (EU) Residency or Citizenship. Which one is right for me?

Find out if you qualify for Malta permanent residency or Malta citizenship, including an EU passport / dual citizenship status.

Program Interest
Permanent Residency: Non‑EU nationals who obtain permanent residence in Malta under the MPRP program are granted the right to live, work, study, or retire in Malta. The program requires a minimum investment from €99,000, in addition to either purchasing or renting property, along with applicable professional and legal fees.

Citizenship: Malta citizenship under the Malta Citizenship by Merit framework grants the right to live, work, study, or retire in Malta, along with access to public healthcare and education. It also provides an EU passport, allowing holders to live and work in any EU member state, not just Malta. Eligible applicants typically include individuals with exceptional achievements in science, technology, or innovation; those distinguished in culture, the arts, or sports; business leaders and entrepreneurs whose ventures create employment in Malta; and philanthropic or humanitarian figures whose work and contributions demonstrates a broader international impact.
