Answer: Several Caribbean countries have adopted programs which allow the acquisition of citizenship on the basis of an investment and/or a direct contribution to the state as a means of development of the country.

Holders of a passport issued by these Caribbean countries enjoy visa free travel to over 100 countries, including the UK, Canada and the European Union, specifically all European countries of the Schengen area.

Countries offering the most popular citizenship by investment programs include Antigua & Barbuda, St. Kitts & Nevis, Grenada, Dominica, and St. Lucia. Investment options include residential or commercial real estate.

Of special note is the program of St. Kitts & Nevis, which reduced its investment minimums from USD 250,000 to USD 150,000 under the Hurricane Relief Fund program introduced in October 2017.
